Goldey-Beacom College recognizes that effective leadership requires a range of skills and a breadth of knowledge from a variety of disciplines. Therefore, the curriculum has two major components aimed at developing the full human and professional capabilities of the individual. These components are the concentration or major, and the liberal arts component.
Students may select a major or concentration of courses which provides specialization and builds particular competencies. Each degree curriculum provides a balance of general education and major/related courses. All undergraduate degrees are designed to meet a standard set of general education program goals , in addition to maintaining their own program-specific goals and all business degree programs conform to the principles identified in the Business Studies Mission Statement .

Students may opt to earn a minor by typically completing a minimum of 9 credits or 3 courses above and beyond the courses required for the first degree, or major. Minors are to be completed concurrently with the program of study, or within a year, of graduation.
Goldey-Beacom College offers minors in the following areas:
Associate Degrees
Five-Year Bachelor/Master Degrees
With the demand for master’s degree candidates drastically increasing in the corporate sector, Goldey-Beacom College is proud to offer the Five-Year Bachelor/Master Degree program. Students now have the opportunity to graduate with both a Bachelor of Science and either a Master of Business Administration or Master of Management degree in as little as five years.
Students in this program are invited to take two graduate courses in place of two undergraduate electives that will count towards both their undergraduate and graduate degrees. An undergraduate cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better is required to participate in this program. To continue into the graduate program after the successful completion of the two graduate courses, students must meet all graduate admissions requirements and have earned a “B” or better in each graduate course taken.
Additional benefits include the waiver of the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and waiver of the Graduate Program application fee. Scholarship assistance is available.
