Information Technology Certificate

Program Description:

This nine-credit Graduate Certificate in Information Technology is designed to prepare professionals to bridge the gap between today’s technology and management’s use of the products of the global information infrastructure. All modern organizations require people equipped to focus information technology on its specific business needs, with an eye on leveraging IT for productivity and competitiveness. Any individual who is responsible for processing information, decision-making, or managing systems who wants to sharpen their skills would benefit from this program.

Students will examine the use of technology in today’s management environment. The role of computer modeling to assist individuals or groups in decision making is explored.  Heavy emphasis will be placed on the use of technology in solving problems.  Topics such as linear programming, simulation, decision theory, and inventory control will be explored in detail.

Admission Requirements:

Students must have already completed a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university, and submit additional documents to fulfill the graduate admissions requirements.

Conferral Requirements:

To earn conferral of the Information Technology Certificate, students must earn a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA and satisfy all course requirements.
