The Associate in Science in Accounting is designed to provide students with the knowledge necessary for a basic understanding of business and an introduction to accounting. The program emphasizes computer skills, written and verbal communication as well as an introduction to accounting theory. Earn your A.S. in Accounting and you are poised to continue directly into the Bachelor of Science in Accounting program, or seek employment as a clerk in an accounting office, as a tax preparation specialist, or a bookkeeper for a small business.
