The Business Essentials Certificate is designed for students who lack the time to commit to a full-time degree program. Basic fundamentals will be addressed, giving students an introduction to key business concepts. This program is ideal for those without a degree, or who completed a degree years ago, who are now looking to update or enhance their resume for entry-level employment.

To earn the Business Essentials Certificate, students must complete ACC 206 , MGT 303 , MKT 305 and one additional course from the options listed at the bottom. A grade of “C” or better in each course is required to obtain the certificate. All courses required for the certificate must be completed within two years.

COURSE DETAILS: Courses are available in 15-week or 7-week sessions. Some courses are offered in a one-week format. Daytime and evening classes are offered.

ACC 206 - Accounting Principles I (3 Credits)
MGT 303 - Management and Organizational Behavior (3 Credits)
MKT 305 - Marketing Management (3 Credits)

Choose one course from the following four options:

ENG 235 - Self-representation, Professionalism, and Technology (3 Credits)
MGT 428 - Human Resource Management (3 Credits)
ENG 485 - Presentation and Debate I (3 Credits)
COM 341 - Group Dynamics (3 Credits)
